Abstract
Anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor encephalitis involves NMDA receptors in the central nervous system and is a treatable autoimmune disorder. Young female patients are more commonly affected. The most frequent clinical manifestation is psychiatric symptoms. Other symptoms such as seizure, cognitive impairment, and movement disorders have also been reported. Herein we report a female patient with anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis presenting with Gerstmann syndrome as an early symptom who did not show common psychiatric symptoms.
